Sylvia's 9th Annual - June 15, 16, 17th, 2012 |
||
Sylvia’s 8th Annual Music Festival Wrap-Up I hear we got lucky with the weather for our 2011 Sylvia’s 8th Annual Music Festival featuring Jaydee Bixby and Aaron Lines. I heard it rained in Quesnel all day Saturday which was good for the patrons at the festival but that would have effected our Saturday Day Passes – cause lets be honest who wants to sit and listen to music in the rain. So those in attendance can attest that it was a decent weekend with both sunshine, a wee rain at night and some cooler evening temperatures as well; but nothing too severe to intervene with another great festival. Thank you for your feedback and once again we will be making some changes in our program and additions to the weekend. We want this to continue to be a safe fun family event so we are going change a few things to ensure that our loyal patrons from years past continue to return and that this festival is “NOT A PARTY PLACE”. We owe another huge thank you to Sylvia and her Café as she continues to sponsor the festival. As we say every year maybe next year we will break even. But yes upward and onward to the 9th Annual in 2012 which will take place as always the third weekend in June which will be June 15th, 16th and 17th. We would like to thank family (Gord, Candace, Larry, Chimere) friends (Debbie, Tricia, Thea), volunteers (Jamie, Lesley, Dave) and of course our wonderful dedicated staff. We would also like to thank the patrons for being so respectful and leaving the place spotless at the end of the weekend. This puts a huge smile on our face and reminds us why we do this… P.S. Even the younger folks left their sites spotless – thank you kindly! A huge thank you to Circle S, Billy Barker Casino, COOP, Baker Creek Farms, and to Sylvia’s Café for their continued support. We would like to thank you for all your valuable feedback. Be sure to check out the pictures in the Photo Gallery here on the web and be sure to check out the digital memory frame at Sylvia’s Cafe for more pictures. Thank you kindly for your support over the weekend and we hope to see you next year – spread the word! |
